| dc.description | Resumen: La mazurca, danza de salón que llegó al Plata en la primera mitad del siglo XIX, pasó a la campaña de Buenos Aires como todas las danzas de salón con arraigo en la sociedad porteña. Inclusive lo hizo acompañada por alguna de ellas. Con posterioridad apareció la versión "criolla" producto de la industria editorial, en momentos del auge del movimiento nativista. Esta versión, que recibió el nombre de ranchera, habría de pasar, a su vez, a la campaña. El estudio de ambas danzas similares y el origen de la segunda, ocupan el presente trabajo. | - |
| dc.description | Abstract: The mazurka was a ballroom dance which arrived to the Río de la Plata in the first half of the 19th century, and like all well established ballroom dances in the porteño society, moved to the countryside of Buenos Aires. Later on it appeared its creole version, a product of the city publishing industry, in times of the nativist movements's peak. This new version -which received the name of ranchera- would then move to the countryside. The research of these similar dances and the origin of the ranchera itself are the purpose of this research. | - |
