| dc.description | El presente trabajo indaga la contraposición de dos concepciones de tradición en el pensamiento de Blaise Pascal: una que es propia del conocimiento científico y otra que pertenece a los conocimientos fundados en la autoridad, sobretodo, el conocimiento teológico. La tradición científica es esencialmente dinámica; la tradición teológica es, por el contrario, estática. De esta concepción estática se seguirá el planteamiento de una dialéctica aut-aut entre libertad y tradición, entre libertad y autoridad. Una muestra de ello es la tesis de Benedetto Croce cuando afirma la existencia de dos religiones: la religión de la libertad, representada por el pensamiento laico, y la religión de la Iglesia Católica, opuesta a toda libertad. Esta dialéctica opositiva entre libertad y tradición sólo puede ser superada a partir de una concepción dinámica de la tradición que afirme la evolución homogénea de la misma. | - |
| dc.description | This paper investigates the contrast between two conceptions of tradition that can be identified in the thought of Blaise Pascal: one referred to the scientific knowledge and the other one that belongs to those knowledges based on authority (i.e., theological knowledge). The scientific tradition is essentially dynamic; theological tradition is, however, static. The consequence of this static conception will be a dialectical approach aut-aut between liberty and tradition, freedom and authority. An example of the previous point is Benedetto Croce’s idea that introduce the existence of two religions: the religion of freedom represented by a secular thought, and Roman Catholic Church’s religion, opposed to all forms of freedom. This oppositional dialectic between freedom and tradition can only be overcome from a dynamic conception of tradition that affirms its homogeneous evolution. | - |
