| dc.description | Desde una perspectiva teórica, este artículo se propone aportar nuevas miradas al campo de estudio de la salud indígena y la interculturalidad a través de una reflexión teórica basada en la teoría del capital social y la sociología de la cultura. Por un lado, el artículo da cuenta del carácter valorativo/normativo que caracteriza a la aproximación intercultural al momento de identificar los problemas de la salud indígena y proponer soluciones. Por otro lado, aporta una nueva aproximación sobre cómo los programas de salud pueden impactar positivamente en el acceso de las poblaciones a los servicios de salud, la cual lejos de estar centrada en la posibilidad de superar las barreras culturales, podría ser el resultado del fortalecimiento de las redes de cooperación interna. | - |
| dc.description | From a theoretical approach, this article proposes to incorporate new views about the indigenous health field and interculturality through a theoretical reflexion based on the social capital theory and the sociology of culture. On the one hand, the article reveals the normative/value point of 365 view that characterized the intercultural approach when it identifies health indigenous problems and proposes solutions. On the other hand, the article suggests new approaches about how intercultural health programs may impact on indigenous’ healthcare access. Rather than being based on overcoming cultural barriers, access to healthcare can be explained by tapping on cooperating internal social networks. | - |
