| dc.description | La presente investigación se enfocó en conocer la representación social de la vejez que tienen los adultos mayores que asisten al Movimiento de Jubilados y Pensionados Salta , con la motivación de poner en tensión las imágenes, creencias, estereotipos y prejuicios que tiene la sociedad sobre esta población. Además, se indagó sobre cómo esta representación puede relacionarse con la elección de una actividad en dicho contexto, para poner en evidencia las limitaciones y posibilidades de esta representación. Para llevar a cabo esta investigación se trabajó con la Teoría de las Representaciones Sociales, desarrollada por Moscovici (1979) y Jodelet (1986), reconociendo sus tres dimensiones: idea o información, campo de representación y actitud o valoración. Es una investigación cualitativa cuyos instrumentos fueron la observación y la entrevista en profundidad. La muestra estuvo conformada por los adultos mayores que realizan actividades en dicha institución. En el análisis de los datos surgieron diversas representaciones con el predominio de dos definiciones de vejez como una etapa más y como destino biológico ; y en relación a su inicio es definida en términos de tener o no tener ganas de vivir y hacer o no hacer cosas . Se concluye que todas estas representaciones están atravesadas por el contexto y la posición que tiene el adulto en él. The present investigation focused on knowing the social representation of old age that elderly people attending the Retirement and Pensioners Movement have "Salta", with the motivation to put in tension the images, beliefs, stereotypes and prejudices that society has about this population. In addition, it was inquired about how this representation can be related to the choice of an activity in that context, to highlight the limitations and possibilities of this representation. To carry out this research we worked with the Theory of Social Representations, developed by Moscovici (1979) and Jodelet (1986), recognizing its three dimensions: idea or information, field of representation and attitude or assessment. It is a qualitative research whose instruments were observation and in-depth interview. The sample consisted of older adults who perform activities in said institution. In the analysis of the data, several representations emerged with the predominance of two definitions of old age as "one more stage" and as "biological destiny"; and in relation to its beginning it is defined in terms of "having or not having the will to live" and "doing or not doing things". It is concluded that all these representations are crossed by the context and the position that the adult has in him. | - |
