| dc.description | This paper investigates the legislation on holidays in some of the member countries of the ILO, and more specifically in Brazil. It will seek to understand how these western countries treated the issue as he emerged in Brazil in the mid-1920s.At first it will be described the situation in which the ILO and its resolutions arise, passing through the adoption of vacation laws in various locations. Se buscará compreender como alguns desses países ocidentais trataram do tema e como ele surgiu no Brasil em meados dos anos 1920. Em um primeiro momento se descreverá a conjuntura na qual surge a OIT e suas resoluçoes, passando pela aprovaçao de leis de férias em diversos locais.
