| dc.description | En este artículo se esquematiza un cronograma ideal de lesiones factibles de producirse en el sistema nervioso central (SNC) humano en desarrollo, se relatan las posibilidades teóricas de su existencia en situaciones y tiempos acotados, y se citan algunos ejemplos ilustrados con imágenes, en los cuales la clínica y la anatomía patológica destacan su correlación. Se insiste en la utilidad de reconocer los cambios histológicos como patrones de lesión pertenecientes a diferentes mecanismos y momentos del desarrollo, así como en la importancia de enlazarlos con el resto de los hallazgos de necropsia y los datos emanados de la historia clínica obstétrica y ginecológica. También se destaca el valor del estudio neuropatológico en los casos con lesión neurológica no acompañada de antecedentes clínicos evidentes. Finalmente, en el Apéndice se detallan los datos anátomo-clínicos correspondientes a las figuras que ilustran el texto. | - |
| dc.description | This article presents an ideal schematized chronogram of the range of potential lesions in the developing human central nervous system, delineates the theoretical possibilities of their existence at different stages, and cites specific examples with images where the clinical pattern and the histopathology exhibit a marked correlation. The observations reported here underscore the usefulness of recognizing histological changes as patterns of lesion pertaining to different disease mechanisms and developmental stages and point to the importance of correlating these alterations with the rest of the findings at necropsy as well as with the data obtained from the obstetric-gynecological clinical report. Furthermore, the results of these investigations demonstrate the value of neuropathological studies in those cases where the neural lesion is not accompanied by evident clinical antecedents.
