| dc.description | En este trabajo se presentan experiencias con pinturas antiincrustantes, efectuadas en el Puerto de Mar del Plata, Argentina (38°08’17" S, 57°31’18 W). Se ensayaron en la balsa experimental, durante 12 y 18 meses, formulaciones oleoresinosas y vinílicas, pigmentadas con óxido cuproso, y con mezclas de este tóxico con óxido de mercurio, oleato de mercurio, arseniato mercurioso, verdes de Schweinfurt y de Scheele, arsenito cuproso y anhídrido arsenioso. La importancia de las características del vehículo (composición y solubilidad] y la influencia del agregado de pigmentos inertes sobre las propiedades antiincrustantes, son comentadas detenidamente. | - |
| dc.description | Results of research on antifouling paints carried out at the Port of Mar del Plata, Argentina (38°08´17" S, 57°31´18" W) are presented in this paper. Formulations of oleoresinous and vinyl paints, pigmented with cuprous oxyde, and with mixtures of this toxic with mercuric oxyde, mercuric oleate, mercurous ortho-arsenate, Schweinfurt and Scheele greens, cuprous arsenite and arsenic trioxyde, were tested in a experimental raft during 12 and 18 months. The importance of binders characteristics (composition and solubility) and the influence of the addition of inert pigments ($latexFe_{2}O_{3}$) on the antifouling properties were commented. | - |
