| dc.description | Este artículo presenta el desarrollo de un cliente OpenSearch para recuperar contenidos desde repositorios digitales compatibles con este estándar, y la incorporación de este cliente como parte de módulos de CMS muy utilizados en la Universidad Nacional de La Plata (UNLP) y en la Comisión de Investigaciones Científicas de la provincia de Buenos Aires (CICBA), a saber Wordpress, Joomla y Choique. Se introduce también aquí un proyecto de visibilidad web institucional, mediante el cual se generan sitios web para las unidades de investigación y desarrollo (centros, laboratorios e institutos), y se los vincula con los repositorios institucionales mediante estos desarrollos. En el trabajo se destaca la importancia de colaborar con las unidades de I+D para mejorar la forma en que exponen en la web sus líneas de investigación, proyectos y actividades, así como también la oportunidad que ofrece un servicio de este tipo para potenciar y promover el uso de los repositorios institucionales. | - |
| dc.description | This article introduces the development of an OpenSearch client capable of retrieving contents from digital repositories that comply the OpenSearch specification. It also describes the integration of the OpenSearch client in three CMS broadly used for research centers of the National University of La Plata (UNLP) and the Scientific Research Council of Buenos Aires province (CICBA): Wordpress, Choique and Joomla. The second part of the article introduces the institutional web visibility project, from which modern web sites for research centers are being implemented. These fresh web sites and the digital repositories of the institutions the centers belong to are connected with the plugins already described. The last part of the paper highlights the importance of the collaboration with R&D centers to improve the way projects, activities and research outputs are being disseminated on the web, and at the same time encourages the use of digital repositories to promote and boost the academic knowledge. | - |
