| dc.description | El propósito de este artículo es comentar de manera sumaria el recorrido del mito de Alcestis a lo largo de la literatura clásica, sobre todo para encontrar variantes significativas de los mitemas, puesto que en esas variantes radica la dialéctica de tradición-innovación literaria que se acentúa con el paso del tiempo hasta llegar a su punto culminante en la Antigüedad Tardía. El itinerario contempla dos etapas: una centrada en el mundo griego, donde las variantes del mito son notables, y otra focalizada en el mundo latino, donde el mito pasará diversas etapas en las que la innovación siempre es protagonista. En el análisis, un lugar central lo ocupa el centón virgiliano Alcesta, punto de llegada de este recorrido y resumen casi perfecto de la nueva interpretación romana del mito. | - |
| dc.description | The aim of this paper is to discuss succintly the myth of Alcestis along Classical literature, especially in order to find meaningful variants in the mythemes, since in these variants lies the dialectic of literary tradition - innovation that emphasizes with the passage of time to reach its climax in Late Antiquity. The itinerary includes two stages: one focused on the Greek world, where myth variants are remarkable, and another focused on the Latin world, where myth will suffer meaningful innovations. In the analysis, a central place is the Virgilian cento Alcesta, arrival point of this “tour” and almost perfect summary of the new Roman interpretation of the myth. | - |
