| dc.description | En este trabajo consideramos la posición asumida por Kant en el debate acerca de los alcances y límites de la ilustración del pueblo, a la luz de un breve estudio comparativo entre diversas posiciones asumidas por importantes figuras de la Ilustración alemana y francesa. Nuestro objetivo central será mostrar que ciertos aspectos de la filosofía política kantiana a los que cabría interpretar, en principio, como rasgos conservadores, admiten una lectura diferente cuando se los considera en relación con la posición adoptada por otros autores: en tal sentido observaremos que la actitud moderada y cauta implícita en la distinción kantiana entre los usos público y privado de la razón, es compartida, en términos generales, por diversos pensadores ilustrados. | - |
| dc.description | In this paper we consider the position adopted by Kant in the debate on the scope and limits of the Enlightenment of the people, through a comparative study of the different positions defended by important authors of the German and the French Enlightenment. Our main purpose is to show that certain aspects of Kant’s philosophy that could be interpreted, at first glance, as conservative, can be interpreted in a different way as long as we consider them in contrast with the position assumed by other authors. The moderate and cautious attitude reflected in Kant’s distinction between the public and the private use of reason is shared by many others thinkers of the period. | - |
